We have a huge range of beers from aound the world, from British real ales, Belgian Trapist and fruit beers, German wheat beers, to some even more exotic brews.

The Ship & Mitre specialises in excellent beer offering twelve guest real ales purchased predominantly through the many nation wide micro-breweries. As this list changes so frequently, several changes each day in fact, we do not list the beers here. Please see the Beer Boards inside the pub which are always up to date.

We also have a huge range of over one hundred imported bottled beers from Belgium, Germany, Austria and Czechoslovakia, and several imported beers on draught. Again, this is an ever changing range, please ask when you visit.

All of our beers are served in oversized lined glasses, thus ensuring a full pint, or where possible for our international beers, the correct glass as supplied by the brewery.

Each lunch time we serve a range of wholesome hearty foods suitable for a large appetite.

We always have a range of fine wines by the bottle, please ask for the list when you visit.
